about Good Dog Behaviour

My name is Paul Turton and Good Dog Behaviour was initially set up so  I could understand what dogs were trying to say to me.

Sounds silly, right?

But actually, dogs are always trying to communicate with us.  The more dogs I saw the more I realised they all had something interesting to tell their owners.

I am lucky enough to have started and grown a previous daycare centre in Braintree, Essex.

This has allowed me to meet 100's of dogs and 100's of owners.  They all have one thing in common and that is they all want the best for their dogs.

We all love our dogs and so I decided to try and understand them a little more.

That led to me diving deep into the world of dog behaviour.  I read any book I could find and eventually graduated with a Diploma in Advanced Canine Behaviour.

My 'teaching' is quite simple: if you can understand what your dog is trying to communicate to you and if you can communicate back in a way they understand, anything is possible.

I believe that all behaviours are learnt.  The good news is that if there is an undesirable behaviour, we can simply teach a new one.  Pair that with praise, understanding, trust and love and we can all have Good Dogs.

If you have any questions about any behaviour, please contact me.  (I love talking about dogs!)
